Support children’s rights by wearing a white ribbon

Childline KZN will be handing out white ribbons on Tuesday, 21 March at Durban's Workshop complex.

CHILDLINE KZN are marking the rights of children enshrined in the country’s constitution, this Human Right’s Day.

To highlight the alarming incidents of child abuse in the province, the non-profit organisation have launched their White Ribbon campaign. The symbolism of the white ribbon is for the protection of innocence and purity of children, and by wearing it one shows they stand in solidarity against child abuse.

Adeshini Naicker, Childline KZN Operations Manager said, “This campaign focuses primarily on generating an increased awareness of the negative impact of violence and abuse of children and aims to encourage individuals, organisations and businesses to take steps to help stop this growing problem.”

The NPO distributed ribbons at Westwood Mall on Monday and will be handing them out on Tuesday again at Durban’s Workshop complex.
