Stolen car recovered in joint operation in Mt Edgecombe
Police and Marshall Security nabbed alleged car thieves during the early hours of this morning.
A STOLEN car was recovered in the early hours of Tuesday morning by members of Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team and the SAPS K9 Unit.
“Shortly after 1am on March 21, a private security officer noticed a suspicious-looking white Hyundai Elantra in Somerset Park, while out on a routine patrol. A check on the vehicle revealed that it had been stolen in February from the Hibberdene area,” said Kyle van Reenan from Marshall Security.
The K9 Unit and the Special Operations Team were called in to assist the officer. The car was pulled over along Mt Edgecombe Drive and two male suspects were arrested.
The car and two men were handed to the South African Police Services for processing and further investigation.
