Appeal for help for baby taken in hijacking

The baby, who is light in complexion had a white long sleeve vest and a nappy on.

THE search for a baby taken during a hijacking in Durban earlier today is ongoing. Images of the one month old baby girl have been circulating on social media in the hopes of finding her.

Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, said the search for the baby has intensified.

“She had a white long sleeve vest and a nappy on. She was taken in a hijacking earlier today from Stamford Hill Durban. Contact Marshall Security on 086 162 7732 with any information,” he said.

The baby’s mother had been forced out of the car at gunpoint at a shopping centre at about noon. The vehicle, a white Toyota Yaris, was later found abandoned in Montclair.

“The child seat, pram and other items were removed from the car when police found the vehicle,” he said.
