Dolphins Player Profile: Okuhle Cele

Okuhle Cele may be a young batsman but his skill as a player has landed him a solid position in the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Cricket team.

19-year-old Okuhle Cele is one of the most promising new players on the Hollywoodbets Dolphins team. The right-handed batsman graduated from Glenwood High where he also played for the Kwa-Zulu Natal Under 15 team.

Okuhle is one of the eight new faces in the team. He played his First Class game against North West in Potchefstroom in October 2016. The match was a draw between KZN and North West. In the same month he played his only List A game between North West and KwaZulu-Natal in Potchefstroom. He made his T20 debut on 23 September 2016 between Boland and KwaZulu-Natal in Paarl.

For a glimpse into Okuhle’s life, watch the video below:

The batsman has two first class matches and three T20 matches. He averages a wicket once every four runs in the longer format, while in T20s he picks up a scalp every five runs.

Off the field, Okuhle describes himself as a laid back guy who is outgoing and loves to tell jokes.
