Iconic Nokia 3310 making a comeback

World's best-selling mobile phone returns after 17 years.

NOKIA will re-launch the Nokia 3310, the world’s best-selling mobile phone, 17 years after it was first released.
The phone, originally released in 2000, perhaps the best-loved and most resilient phone in history and in many ways the matriarch of modern age mobile phones, will be sold as a way of getting lots of battery life in a nearly indestructible body.

It may seem unlikely in the world of Android and iPhones that customers would want the not-so-smart phone that was best known for playing Snake II but the experts believe there is a place for it in the market. Many smartphone users complain about their phones’ battery life and this could prove the main selling point for users according to experts who can use it as a second phone.

HMD Global, a Finnish company with exclusive rights to market the Nokia brand, is reportedly going to release a revamped version of the classic phone.

Along with the rumoured 3310 remake, Nokia has already teased new Android phones for the Mobile World Congress coming up later this month.  In its time the Nokia 3310 it sold 126 million units worldwide.
