Beat-Route cast to take audience on musical journey

Expect a musical smorgasbord that stretches from the birth place of jazz and rag.

JOIN in on a musical journey as Beat-Route celebrates the laughter and sadness of the Bohemian life, the riches and poverty of poetry, dreams, music, art, comedy and of course love.

Where they will take the audience on a journey with songs out the books of some of the great entertainers from Scott Joplin, Ronnie Scott,  Spike Milligan, Louise Prima, Sammy Davis Junior, Bra Hugh and many more. The cast will have a laugh at life, love, each other, at the audience as they celebrate the human condition. Beat-Route encourages the audience to join them in a musical feast of the spirit.

Expect a musical smorgasbord that stretches from the birth place of jazz and rag in the brothels and speakeasies of New Orleans to the grazing grassy plains of South Africa and the vibrant street carnivals of Cape Town.

With original interpretations of the classics you love like My Funny Valentines, Mr BoJangles and Cry Me a River. Join our ragtag crew for a few laughs and musical frivolities. You loved it last time and we’re hoping to cash in on that.

Daniel Sheldon is on trumpet, Tom Hare on saxophone, David Langley on keys with Riley Giandhari on drums and Logan Byrne on double bass with Zoe Masuku and Kerry Langley on vocals. Tickets are R150 and booking is through Computicket. The show starts on Friday, 17 March at 8pm and runs until Sunday, 26 February.
