Childline KZN’s bread initiative to benefit children’s homes

The organisation has made a commitment to deliver 50 loaves of bread each week to two children’s homes in the province.

CHILDLINE KZN delivered several loaves of bread to needy children on Friday. The organisation has reached out to the children at St Thomas’ Home for Children in Sydenham and Abalindi Children’s Home in Inanda in response to the growing shortage of resources.

Through the “We Care” campaign, the organisation has committed to delivering 50 loaves of bread each week to children’s homes in the province.

“We work closely with the children who are housed in these homes and they are often reliant on donors for food and basic needs including their meals. We hope that this small contribution will benefit these children,” said Childline KZN operations manager, Adeshini Naicker.
