Don’t miss out on CPF Nite Race

The event takes place on Friday, 27 January at 6pm and will run through the streets of Durban North, starting and finishing at Crusaders Sports Club.

ORGANISERS of the Durban North/uMhlanga Community Police Forum (CPF) are urging residents to get involved in this week’s Spring Nite Run/Walk at Crusaders Sports Club. The aim of the series, besides raising crime awareness, is to raise funds for the CPF to increase their capacity for night patrols and other activities.

“We would love to see more involvement from residents. It’s an awesome event by the North Durban community for the community. We will be changing the race route a little this year because we don’t want it to be boring for the runners. We’ve also introduced a new incentive with runners taking part in three of the four races. All participants will automatically qualify for top prizes, which we will be revealed later this year,” said Dave Ward, one of the organisers.

The event takes place on Friday, 27 January at 6pm and will run through the streets of Durban North, starting and finishing at Crusaders Sports Club.

There will be a 5km fun run/walk and a 10km race for more competitive runners. To enter visit the Sport Zone store daily at Kensington Square.

On day entries will take place at Crusaders Sports Club between 4.30pm – 6pm and attract a R20 late entry fee. For more info visit the Nite Race Facebook page.
