Man assaulted in Avoca Hills house robbery

A man was assaulted with a screw driver in his home by two unknown men on Wednesday.

A MAN was allegedly assaulted in his mother’s residence on Wednesday by two men wielding a screw driver. According to the victim, the incident occurred at 12.50pm.   Greewood Park spokesperson, Warrant officer Leon Audh said the man heard loud noises emanating from outside the house in Campile Crescent, Avoca Hills.

“Upon investigating through the window, the complainant said that he had noticed that two unknown males were trying to force open the front gate. The victim further went on to say that although he shouted at them, they still managed to force the gate open and gained entry into the home.”

The man then fled into a bedroom but the suspects still managed to accost him and demanded his firearm and jewelry.

The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s TV, DVD Player. Video footage was captured by the complainant’s CCTV cameras. “No arrests have been made as yet,” Warrant Officer Audh said.”However our members are working around the clock to ensure that the suspects are brought to book .”
