Business robbed on Browns Drift Road

Three suspects held up a security guard patrolling the shopping centre.

GREENWOOD Park police are investigating a business robbery at a premises on Browns Drift Road this morning. According to Warrant Office Leon Audh, spokesman for the station, the incident occurred at about 5am in uMgeni Park.

“A security guard was conducting patrols around the complex when he was accosted by three men who were armed with a firearm. They held him up and broke into one of the businesses. The perpetrators after forcing the main door open, ransacked the business and fled on foot with a laptop. No shots were fired or injuries sustained in this incident. We are still searching for the suspects,” he said.

The incident comes two days after an uMgeni Park resident was brutally assaulted in her Sylvania Place complex.

Audh urged residents to contact  Det/Cst NP Mhlongo on 073 862 1700 if they had any information.
