Suspects derail gate, rob La Lucia home

Neighbours say they heard a loud bang when they alerted authorities about the break-in.

A GANG of housebreakers broke into a Shelbourne Avenue home at about 10am this morning. The suspects ransacked the La Lucia home within a few minutes. According to Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security, the suspects derailed the gate to gain access to the property.

“They smashed in the stable door of the kitchen and stole a number of items, including a flat screen TV, a printer, alcohol and other household items.

“We believe the suspects used a vehicle in the break-in. Unfortunately none of the neighbours saw anything but heard a loud banging noise. That’s when they called for help,” he said.
