Have you handed your employee’s details to police?

The information will be used to check if the domestic workers or gardeners have any other cases against them.

HOMEOWNERS are being urged to keep a copy of their employee’s identity document on file. This comes after the spike in house-break-ins in Underwood Road, Umgeni Park.

Warrant Officer Leon Audh, communications officer for the Greenwood Park SAPS said, “We are requesting for employers to supply us with copies their employee’s Identification Documents and the address of where they are employed. This also includes  temporary workers. This information is vital in our ongoing investigations into the high crime rate in this area. We have noted an increase in house break-ins in this sub forum and therefore are taking all measures necessary to reduce it.

“We do have operations in that area. This information will also be used to check if the domestic workers or gardeners have any other cases against them,” said Warrant Officer Audh.

Information can be forwarded to audhl@saps.gov.za or dropped off at the station, 61  Buxton Road, Greenwood Park.
