WATCH: Criminals steal laptop from parked car within seconds

The thieves steal a laptop from a parked car within 20 seconds.

A VIDEO showing remote jammers stealing a laptop from a parked car outside a convenience store is gaining traction. The theft takes place in less than 20 seconds and shows the criminals making a hasty retreat after parking in a disabled spot. The incident is said to have taken place in Sandton.

This video from CICA shows the brazen criminals at work.

Durban North SAPS spokesman, Capt Raymond Deokaran, said there has been a number of cases in the area.

“Remote jamming is a very real threat. Always ensure, wherever it is you park (whether in parking lot, mall or street), that your doors actually lock when you click your remote. Remote jammers strike anywhere at any time, so be aware and ensure that when you lock your car, it actually locks,” he said.
