Man killed in M19 horror crash

The engine of the car was found a distance away from the crash scene.

A MAN in his twenties was killed after colliding with a steel structure on the M19 (Durban bound) just before the N2 off-ramp. According to Garrith Jamieson, of Rescue Care, paramedics responded to the scene at about 6.15am this morning.

“When paramedics responded to the scene they found carnage. A single vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a steel structure leaving a man in his twenties entrapped in the wreckage. Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had unfortunately passed away before their arrival. The engine was found some distance from the wreckage.

Jamieson added the exact cause of the collision was unknown.
