Christmas flash mob brings Hyper by the Sea to standstill

SHOPPERS were treated to a bit of Christmas cheer on Saturday morning when members of  Our Lady of Fathima Cathlolic Church in Durban North, conducted a Christmas carol flash mob inside the bustling Pick n Pay Hyper by the Sea. The event was broken into three segments, at the three different entrance points of the store.

A small group of the choir began belting out carols and were joined by their fellow singers who were standing at different points near the tills. Shoppers whipped out their cell phones and began recording  the singing. Soon after, others joined in.

Organiser, Brian Hoogewerf said the event has been well received over the last two years.
