SA Legion raise a whopping R90 000

The SA Legion thanks all those who supported the Poppy Day Collection on 12 November.

ON behalf of the Durban Branch Committee of the SA Legion, I wish to thank all those very kind members of the Durban public (Durban North, and uMhlanga Rocks) for their kind and very generous contributions to our recent street collection held on Poppy Day, Saturday, 12 November.

Having banked R90 000, it’s another bumper collection – R5 000 better than last year’s. We’re also particularly grateful to all the kind voluntary collectors for assisting us in this regard. Our target for next year must be R100 000, but we don’t need the public to be more generous in order to reach this – we simply need more collectors. So, please diarise Saturday, 11 November 2017 and offer us an hour or so of your time to collect at a nearby shopping mall.
