Support Round Table Christmas tree sales

The fundraising initiative runs until Thursday, 22 December.

THE Umhlanga Round Table No 155 has again urged residents to support this year’s Christmas tree sales. The initiative which has run for 45 years sees all funds from the sales of Christmas trees going towards various charities.

Craig Adendorff,  an esteemed 41er said this year’s funds would go towards a number of initiatives.

“This is for a good cause and instead of buying a tree from elsewhere, where the profit goes to the sellers, why not support charity,” he explained.

Besides trees, the organisation is also selling stands as well as buckets.

“We’ve always had fantastic support from the Durban North and uMhlanga communities and I’m sure it will continue this year. We’ve sold close to 500 trees and our hope is to sell 1 400 trees,” he said.

The sales tent is situated at Virginia Sports field parking grounds, Danville Road. Sales are open and close on 22 December. The tent is open daily between 8am and 5pm.
