Carvin H Goldstone is back for a laugh

Since winning the Madras Masala Comedy Competition in 2006, this larger than life and much loved comedy genius has become a household name.

BUOYED by the resounding success of The Best of Carvin H Goldstone Tour at Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom in August, Goldstone is back for more this festive season. A decade since a then unknown Carvin H Goldstone walked onto the stage at Sibaya’s iZulu Theatre to deliver his first ever comedy set as a contestant in the Madras Masala Comedy Competition, he now returns for a three-day run of this Best of Tour from 21 to 23 December 2016.

Since winning the Madras Masala Comedy Competition in 2006, this larger-than-life and much loved comedy genius has become a household name and is one of the most successful Durban based stand-up comedians.  Three sold out one man shows since 2011; international tours and multiple awards have earned Carvin respect across South Africa’s comedy community.

His rise to the top was rubber stamped this year when he was chosen as the headline act at the recent Kings and Queens of Comedy in Port Elizabeth over comedy veterans like Loyiso Gola, Stuart Taylor, Chester Missing and Jason Goliath. His comedy DVD sales are in the thousands and his YouTube and online views in the hundreds of thousands. He regularly sells out large theatres across the country and recently returned from his second Australian Comedy Tour. Wherever he goes, his hilarious, family-friendly comedy style and instantly likeable on-stage persona leaves people in stitches. With no swearing or sexual references, the show is designed for the whole family but parental guidance is advised.

The show runs from Wednesday, 21 December to Friday, 23 December and takes place at the Krakatoa Action Bar at Sibaya. Shows will start at 6pm and tickets, priced at R150 a person are available at Computicket and the Sibaya Box Office.
