EMERGENCY services rushed to an accident scene at the intersection of Northway and Romsey Grove this afternoon. Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security said the vehicle was travelling along Northway when it veered out of control.
“The vehicle collided into the light pole before overturning along the roadway. When we arrived at the scene, we found that the husband had managed to free himself while his wife was entrapped inside the crumpled wreckage,” he said.
The husband sustained moderate injuries and emergency services worked for just over 40 minutes to free the wife. Once freed, the woman was stabilised at the scene before being rushed to a local hospital. The rescue was a joint effort between Crisis Medical and Marshall Security.
