Gang ransack Clarendon Road home

The men used a grey Mercedes Benz in the armed robbery.

THREE suspects ransacked a Parkhill home at about 10am today stealing various electronic items. The men arrived at the home on Clarendon Road in a high end luxury vehicle and derailed the gate to gain access. The suspects accosted the domestic worker who was looking after the homeowner’s two-year-old son, said Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen.

Van Reenen said the terrifying ordeal unfolded as the domestic worker was making lunch for the child.

“The domestic worker began screaming for help and was ordered to lie on the floor with the child and not say a word. One of the suspects, armed with a pistol, then stood watch over the domestic worker as his accomplices ransacked the house. The suspects used a grey Mercedes in the robbery.

“The suspects stole two flat screen televisions and a large safe containing jewellery and other items. The domestic worker was severely traumatised by the incident. We are currently searching for the suspects involved in the armed robbery,” he said.

The incident comes a month after the hijacking of two women on the same road.
