Go bold for men’s health

Find some inspiration for Movember from these outrageous mos’.

IN an effort to change the face of men’s health millions of hombre’s from across the globe have been challenged to grow their mo’ for Movember.

Men have been sprouting moustaches for fundraising and awareness since 2003, specifically with regards to prostate and testicular cancer as well as men’s mental health.

Men traditionally don’t talk about concerns or issues that affect them, said Garron Gsell, CEO and founder of The Men’s Foundation. Globally there is still a stigma around diseases. The Movember Foundation aims to create a world where men don’t need to suffer or succumb to diseases which are preventable or manageable, he added.

“Globally suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20 to 39, with three quarter of all suicides being men. We hope to challenge the idea that a ‘strong’ man is the only way to be ‘manly’ and challenge the notion that men talking and showing emotion is ‘weak’,” he said.

Many men have risen to the challenge, however there are some that have gone above and beyond to grow some of the most outrageous moustaches. The Northglen News has collected some of the most impressive mos’ to have ‘grown’ out of the campaign.

The rules require each Mo Bro to start 1 Movember clean shaven and to grow and groom a moustache for the entire month. For more information or to sign up visit www.movember.com.
