Brace yourself! Stikeez are making a comeback

The public will be able to collect 24 new ocean themed creatures.

THE end of the world is near. Or at least that is what it will feel like for parents across the country as one of the county’s leading retailers, Pick n Pay launches their new Stikeez campaign.

The new line, ‘Stikeez 2 Creatures of the Deep’ is set to feature 24 ocean themed creatures.

The series of simple, flexible toys was originally launched last year, and the craze quickly swept across the nation.

Parents soon started complaining as children’s hankering for these collectibles spiraled. The craze got so out of hand that schools were forced to ban them from the playground.

What’s more, parents, in pure desperation to complete the collection for their offspring, began trading the toys on social media and even in parking lots.

To receive one of these delightful toys one has to spend at least R150, a fact that become a nuisance when you want to quickly ‘pop into the shop’ to buy milk and bread.
