Man (40) found dead on Buttery Road
Officials found that the man had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
THE body of a man was discovered in Rosehill on Tuesday evening along Buttery Road. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, reaction officers responded to a report of an alleged accident.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a bakkie had crashed into a tree. However, they quickly discovered that the driver suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, he said.
“The driver, a male approximately 40 years of age suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics,” he said.
He said officials also recovered a gun no more than 20 metres from the scene.
“The scene was handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation,” he concluded.
