Women targeted in Clarendon hijacking

The vehicle and a cell phone have been recovered.

TWO women have been left shaken after they were hijacked at gunpoint on Clarendon Road in Parkhill on Thursday night.

According to Marshall Security’s Tyron Powell, two armed suspects attacked the women around 7.20pm.

He said it is believed that two other accomplices in a white Toyota Corolla, dropped off the hijackers before the incident unfolded.

“We managed to recover the stolen vehicle in about 20 minutes by working with the tracking company. The white VW Jetta was found abandoned in Inanda,” he said.

One of the women’s cell phones was also found after it had been discarded along North Coast Road.
