WIN: Amazing prize to Bierfest at Sibaya

THIS weekend, the TOPS at SPAR Bierfest comes to Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom. This is the sixth annual event where beer and food enthusiasts get in touch with their inner “Germaniac”, lug on the lederhosen, dust off the dirndls and get ready to party with added poomah.

While the traditional oompah music remains a staple, giving the authentic Oktoberfest vibe, an exciting development will see the inclusion of South Africa’s most-loved mock rock mash-up band, The Rockerfellas. Utilising the concept of the musical “mash-up” made famous by DJs and dance music producers, this five-piece band of merry musicians seamlessly blends the biggest hits of the 70s, 80s, 90s and now into a musical medley that will have festival-goers up and dancing. But it’s not just live music that bier lovers can look forward to, Brauhaus hours are filled with traditional Bavarian Bierfest activities, with great prizes to be won.

Since inception in 2010, the TOPS at SPAR Bierfest has delivered South Africans a taste of the Munich Oktoberfest right to their doorsteps. The country’s biggest annual, national touring festival of Bavarian bier culture revels in all that is good about bier, bratwursts, pretzels, frauleins and of course – the music they call “oompah”.
