Calendar campaign helps to conserve wildlife
Funds raised from the sale of CROW’s 2017 calendars will help rehabilitate injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife.
WITH only three months left to Christmas, the 2017 Reflections of Africa calendars produced by local voluntary association Under an African Sky, make for an excellent gift.
Based in Yellowwood Park, every year over 3 000 injured, orphaned and displaced animals receive life-saving care and treatment at CROW before they are returned to their rightful place in the wild. When you purchase one of these limited edition calendars, you don’t just get the calendar, you contribute directly to the heart of wildlife conservation – rehabilitation.
Marketing and Communications Officer, Sharl Els, said the 2017 calendar features breath-taking photographs of wildlife by some of South Africa’s leading photographers. The theme of the calendar very elegantly showcases the sustainability of wildlife when allowed to live out their lives in freedom, as nature intended it, something that CROW has been working towards for the past 36 years.
“The funds raised from last year’s Under an African Sky ‘Contrast of Africa’ calendar campaign enabled CROW to build a specialised baby antelope enclosure, which was officially opened in July. Projects such as this one go a long way in helping CROW rehabilitate wildlife and help give animals a second chance,” said Sharl.
