TODAY marks the end of Women’s Month and a local bra specialist shop is at the end of their Poise and Pride Campaign where good Samaritans can support the Robin Hood Foundation by purchasing a brand new bra valued at over R500 and donate it to the dignity bin.
The owners of Satin Candy said their goal was to donate 1000 bras for those less fortunate women that do not even have bras to wear because they simply cannot afford them. Owner, Sandra Thomas said: “Even with hand-me-down clothes, a nice bra can make all the difference in the world. Women are often forced to spend what little money they have on food so they can survive instead of being able to buy something as simple as a bra to wear”. Thomas said they were calling on ladies to make a final push to get in as many bras as possible.
All donated bras will be handed to the Robin Hood Foundation and today is the final day. The foundation will then distribute to women and girls who are in desperate need of having their dignity restored. To find out more call: 031-7645541.
