Patronal festival set for uMhlanga

On the day the community will be able to enjoy a floral display within the St Michael's Anglican Church.

THE public is invited to join the St Michael’s Anglican Church for its Patronal Festival on Saturday, 24 September. The festival is an annual event held in honour of Saint Michael, the patron of the church.

On the day the community will be able to enjoy a floral display within the church. Approximately 20 to 60 various displays will be arranged throughout the church, some of which will be on sale.

Various plants will also be on sale at a make-shift nursery where shrubs, bedding and other flora will be displayed. Coffee, tea and eats will be served to guests. Delicious boerewors rolls will also be sold on the day.

“We hope to get a very positive response from the community. The event has proven to be very pleasant and successful in the past,” said event organiser and flower coordinator at the church, Cindy Townsend.

The event will be held on the church grounds (6 Durban View Road, uMhlanga) on 24 September from 9am to 3pm. Entrance is free. Contact Cindy Townsend on 031 561 0165 or daffieduck@telkomsa.net.
