A MAN was stabbed to death after an armed robbery on North Coast Road. The incident occurred at about 7pm said Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen.
“Reports from the scene suggest the man was walking his wife to a nearby bus stop when a vehicle stopped and two armed men approached them, demanding the females handbag.
“The husband allegedly grabbed the purse and ran in an attempt to seek refuge from the assailants, who pursued him. A scuffle broke out in a nearby alley with one of the suspects stabbing the man multiple times in the chest,” he said.
Van Reenen added paramedics were called to the scene, however the man was declared deceased on their arrival.
“The wife of the victim was severely traumatized and the assistance of the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team was sought to counsel her.
