Police appeal for help in hijacking case

Police believe that the man in the attached identikit can be an assistance in solving the case.

DURBAN North SAPS is appealing to the community for help in a case of hijacking they are investigating. Police believe the suspect is approximately 25 to 30 years old, short in height and dark in complexion and may be of assistance in solving the case.

According to Lt Col Thulani Zwane, the victim (21) was parked outside her friend’s house in Oxford Drive, Durban North when she was approached by three suspects.

“The suspects jumped out of a light blue Hyundai Atos and ordered her out of her silver grey Mercedes Benz at gunpoint and they drove off with her vehicle. The police were contacted and a case of car hijacking was opened at the station.

“Police believe that the man in the attached identikit can be an assistance in solving the case. He is approximately 25 to 30 years old, short in height and dark in complexion. Anyone who may know his identity or his whereabouts is urged to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Langa on 073 380 4306 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”
