Sunningdale woman mysteriously disappears

Authorities have rallied together to find the missing woman.

A SUNNINGDALE woman has mysteriously vanished during her commute home this evening. Her car, with its keys, wallet and cell phone was recovered at the bottom end of Glen Anil Street.

Panicked family members said they lost contact with Brenda Lynn Scriven after 5.30pm.

“My stepdad, Lance Ethell, had spoken to her. She was on her way home near Umgeni,” said her daughter, Lindy-Leigh Swales.

When they tried calling her after 6pm she did not answer.

“Eventually a man answered her phone and said that he had found my mother’s car abandoned. The car had apparently mounted the pavement. He had discovered her car with the keys in the ignition with her hand bag, cell phone and wallet,” added Swales.

Swales and the rest of the family have begun calling local hospitals with her mother’s description, hoping to locate her.

Marshall Security as well as Sun Cell NHW have been assisting the search.

According to the family Scriven has no history of mental illness, and was looking forward to her retirement and spending more time with her grandchildren.
