POLICE are investigating the rape of a 35-year-old woman in uMhlanga. According to police spokesperson, Captain Nqobile Gwala, an unknown man reportedly attacked the woman at around 2am on Sunday.
Gwala said the suspect grabbed his victim on McCausland Drive, after she left a restaurant to go “out for a walk”.
“The suspect raped her and fled the scene on foot. No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing,” she said.
Gwala confirmed that a case had been opened at the Durban North station.
