Criminals pose as buyers, steal items from Virginia home

The suspects managed to get away with several items from the home on Middlebrook Avenue.

FOUR suspects posed as potential buyers for a house on sale before stealing several items from a Middlebrook Avenue home in Virginia. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred at about 2pm.

“When our officers arrived on scene we discovered that three women and a man approached the homeowner and entered the premises under the pretense that they were potential buyers of the home which is currently on sale. Once inside, one of the women allegedly stole various electronic equipment, including a laptop and two tablets, before the suspects left the property in a getaway vehicle.

“A description of the suspects and the vehicle involved was distributed to our cars and an extensive search was conducted, however the suspects remain at large. The scene was handed over to the SAPS for further investigation,” he said.
