RocketSkates let you zip along the pavement

That's right; just like regular skates, this motorised invention can let you zip around the sidewalk completely hands-free.

EVERY week, Northglen News brings you ‘Things You Never Knew Existed’. This week it’s the RocketSkates, or motorised skates, which are fitted with motors that lets you zoom up to 20km/per hour. The invention has been billed as mobility skates, which are remote-free. You just strap-in and voila, you have a pair of smart electric skates.

That’s right; just like regular skates, this motorised invention can let you zip around the sidewalk completely hands-free.

The RocketSkates can support riders up to 113kgs. Tilting forward on the toes accelerates while tilting back on the heel gently brakes. The footplates also pivot down to put your foot in contact with the ground for walking or going upstairs. You can also control the device with your phone and the skates have a built-in battery that takes one and half hours to recharge.
