Armed men raid Red Hill business

Two men held the guard at gunpoint as their accomplices looted the business premises.

A GANG of armed men ransacked business premises on Moreland Drive in Red Hill on Monday, fleeing with thousands of Rands worth of electronic equipment.

According to W/O Leon Audh, of Greenwood Park SAPS, two of the four-man gang broke into the property while their accomplices held the guard at gunpoint.

The security guard reportedly spotted a Toyota Corolla parked at the front gate, when he went to investigate he saw four men seated in the car.  Two of the suspects pointed firearms at him and forced him into the vehicle.

“Whilst he was in the vehicle the other two suspects took a crowbar and pick and broke into the business premises. After stealing computers from the business premises the complainant alleged that the suspects let him out of the vehicle and fled the scene,” he said.
