Woman hijacked by five men

One of the men pointed a firearm at her and ordered the driver and three passengers to get out of the vehicle.

A BHAMO Avenue resident has been left traumatised after she was hijacked by five men, one of which was armed with a handgun. According to W/O Leon Audh of the Greenwood Park SAPS, the incident occurred at about 7.30pm last night.

“The local resident was driving her silver Toyota Corolla with three other passengers and stopped outside her friend’s house in Avoca. Soon after, another vehicle stopped alongside her and she noticed that there were five unknown men seated in the vehicle.

“One of them accosted her and pointed a firearm at her. The suspect then forcefully removed her and her passengers from the car before fleeing the scene. The victims were seriously traumatized by the event. We appeal to the community who have any information that could assist detectives to contact Det/Cst Ngubane on 079 734 1180.”
