Metro Police officer hit after pulling car over

Advanced life support was needed to treat officer says Netcare 911 paramedics.

A METRO Police officer is in a serious condition following an accident on the M25 near the Ntuzuma turn-off on Wednesday morning. According to Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha, the officer had pulled a car over when she was struck by another vehicle.

“The officer is in a serious condition and needed advanced life support. Reports from the scene indicate that a traffic officer had tried to pull a vehicle over when she was hit by a taxi. Medics stabilised the seriously injured female at the scene before they transported her to a hospital in uMhlanga,” Botha said.
