Robber nabbed in Greenwood Park

The suspects were caught red-handed using a brick to break open a window at the premises.

IT was a small victory for authorities in the Greenwood Park policing precinct as they nabbed a house robber on Workington Road on Sunday afternoon.

The brazen robber along with his accomplice, said Greenwood Park police spokesman, W/O Leon Audh, struck in broad daylight, using a brick to break one of the property windows. A chase ensued as soon as police along with Marshall Security patrollers arrived at the scene, which resulted in the arrest of one of the suspects.

“The suspect used a brick to break a window at the premises but was caught red-handed. Our crime prevention members are still working around the clock to look for his accomplice who fled the scene,” said Audh.

The suspect is set to appear at the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
