Bheki who is on tuberculosis medication, sometimes gets confused in public places explained his wife.

A PHOENIX resident has issued a heartbreaking appeal for help in finding her husband who went missing more than a week ago. Khanyisa Sithole, said her husband, Bheki, was last seen at Gateway when they were separated. CCTV footage from the mall shows the 46-year-old walking towards Palm Boulevard. Khanyisa has urged residents to be on the lookout for her husband.

“We agreed to go to the toilets and when I came out I realised he was missing. I began frantically searching for him because I was so worried that in his confusion he could have walked out of the mall. We checked the footage and it showed him walking out of the mall. I’m so worried for him because he hasn’t eaten and my boys are missing him. There was a positive identification of him two days later at one of the service stations around the mall but when we got to the place, there was no sign of him.

“It’s been traumatic going to the different mortuaries around the city and thinking that I might discover his body. It paralyses you with fear walking in and thinking he may be one of the bodies. We’ve opened a case of missing persons at the Durban North SAPS. The Durban North/Umhlanga Crisis Team have also tried to help me out which has been amazing. We just want him home, I keep looking at my phone in the hopes someone has seen him,” she said.

Khanyisa has also contacted the Pink Ladies who have also sent out an alert. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a dark jersey and a grey hoodie.

“I’m begging anyone who sees my husband to please contact me on 084 544 2901 or the Durban North SAPS on 031 560 8004.”
