One month, 2 teenagers hit by cars
Another teenager is hit by a car on Durban North’s busy roads.
A SECOND teeanger has been hit by a car in Durban North in less than a month. This morning a 17-year-old girl sustained minor injuries after she was hit near her school on Cadogan Drive.
While she sustained minor injuries this was the second time in the last month that a pupil had been struck by a car in Durban North. Netcare 911’s Athlenda Mathe said when paramedics arrived on scene this morning, they found the girl at her school’s sick bay. “We stabilised her on scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital,” she said. The accident happened at about 7.45am on Tuesday.
On 2 June another teenager was hit by a car on Northway. According to Crisis Medical the girl (17) was hit while jogging at around 4pm in the afternoon.
At the time, Neil Powell of Crisis Medical said: “She sustained minor injuries and was placed on a specialized stretcher before being transported to hospital for further care. The were no reported injuries to those traveling in the vehicle.”
