A MAN has been arrested after an ATM robbery on North Coast Road on Wednesday morning. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, members of the public who witnessed the shocking robbery assisted in apprehending the suspect.
“He robbed the victim of an undisclosed amount of cash after she had just withdrawn from an ATM machine nearby. He attempted to flee on foot to a nearby getaway vehicle. Members of the public who witnessed the ordeal gave chase, managing to apprehend the suspect.
“Marshall Security was called to assist and armed reaction officers arrested the man on their arrival. He was found to be in possession of the cash as well as the stolen ATM card. The man was handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS,” he said.
