The unexpected turn in Colin Palmer’s disappearance

Colin Palmer's safe return to his family warmed our hearts this week.

WE are inundated with bad news daily, so when we have some good news, we want to shout about it.  This week the disappearance and then discovery of Glen Anil resident Colin Palmer (65) warmed our hearts. The story took an unexpected turn when Tracker SA called me (Corrinne Louw, editor) on Wednesday afternoon.

Nandi Canning, communications manager for Tracker Connect, was at the other end of the phone line. I began rolling my eyes when she began by saying that she was calling about how Mr Palmer was found and her company’s involvement. You see, I was under the impression that the company wanted a ‘free plug’ about their involvement in the tracking down of the Alzheimer’s sufferer.  “Not so,” Canning said. “No, Tracker SA equipment was used, it was sheer coincidence, please just hear me out.” I did and I was shocked.

Jax (Jacqueline Grant) is a Durban North resident who works for Tracker SA and Vic Chitanand is a Phoenix resident who also works for the company. This is the letter Jax sent to her boss, John Nolte, detailing what happened
