A UTILITY vehicle travelling along the N2 crashed into a concrete block at Petroport after taking the Queen Nandi Drive off-ramp early this morning.
Neil Powell, of Crisis Medical, said the driver, a 36-year-old man, sustained moderate injuries. The man was treated on scene and later transported to a local hospital, he said.
“According to eyewitness reports the vehicle was traveling northbound on the N2 at high speed before taking the Queen Nandi Drive off-ramp. The vehicle lost control, veering into Petroport. The vehicle narrowly missed the petrol pumps in the gas station before it crashed into the concrete block and eventually coming to a stop several metres further on,” he said.
