Fire erupts at uMhlanga apartment

No one was injured in the incident, said Netcare 911 paramedics.

FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze on the sixth floor of an uMhlanga apartment on Tuesday morning. According to Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha, no one was injured in the accident.

“The fire department was excellent in its response and was able to put out the fire quite quickly on the sixth floor of the apartment block on Aurora Drive. There were no injuries,” he said.

It is unclear what caused the fire, but according to a paramedic on scene, the fire seems to have started on the balcony of the apartment.
