N2 closed, multiple injuries, stay off

THE N2 south-bound has been closed following a massive crash that left several people injured.

The crash, according to Robert Mckenzie of KZN Emergency Medical Services, occurred between the KwaMashu and Queen Nandi off-ramps.

“At this stage, reports from the scene are that one vehicle is involved and paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services and several private ambulance services are treating multiple patients on scene. The highway is going to be closed shortly to land our helicopter to airlift a patient to hospital.”

One of the injured had to be airlifted to hospital.
