REPORTS from the scene are still unclear, however it has been confirmed that two people were critically injured during a head-on collision on the M4 on Thursday morning.
Neil Powel of Crisis Medical said they transported two patients to the Gateway Private Hospital.
“The drivers of both vehicles were found partially trapped,” he said.
The accident reportedly took place on the south-bound lane after uMhlanga. Traffic was severely affected on both lanes but Powell said the road has been cleared.
