Pedestrian killed in Riverhorse Valley

Paramedics said the deceased had sustained severe injuries during the accident.

A MAN was struck and killed by a vehicle as he attempted to cross Corobrick Road in Riverhorse Valley on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Neil Powell of Crisis Medical, paramedics responded to the call of a stressed bystander at around 3.45pm.

“On arrival of paramedics, the male patient in his late 30’s was unconscious and unresponsive. Advanced Life support paramedics initiated Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, however after several attempts to resuscitate the patient, he was declared dead,” he said,

Powell added that after hitting the pedestrian the vehicle crashed into a fence and rolled down an embankment.
