Another pedestrian killed in N2 accident
When paramedics arrived at the scene they discovered that the man had sustained fatal injuries.
A PEDESTRIAN was killed on the N2, near Queen Nandi Drive yesterday, after he was struck by a vehicle.
Paramedics found the man, believed to be in his late 20s, lying in the centre median. He was later declared dead at the scene.
“It was noted that he had suffered fatal injuries. Nothing could be done to assist the man and sadly he was declared dead on arrival,” said Crisis Medical spokesperson Neil Powell.
The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injury in the incident, he added.
“The exact facts pertaining to the incident and the events preceding it, are unclear and will form part of a South African Police Services investigation,” said Powell.
