Interior designers get down to business

Creative minds in interior design met to exchange ideas.

THE Kwa-Zulu Natal Association for the Power of Networking (KAPOW) for interior decorating and design held their first social evening gathering of the year at Hertex Fabric House recently.

KAPOW represents practicing professionals related to the interior design industry in KZN. Some of the organisation’s aims are to focus on networking and empowering each of their members, charity projects, and the mentorship of young designers and students. Industry giants, Shave Paint & Décor, Hirsch’s Homestores and U&G are among the companies seated on the KAPOW committee.

“This year is all about getting down to business,” said Jennifer Jones, interior designer and KAPOW committee chairperson. “What better way to start the year than bringing the most creative minds in the industry together under one roof to discuss the trends in year ahead?”

Jones said a major goal of KAPOW’s vision is to introduce new suppliers to their Durban-based decorators and designers.
