Entrepreneur workshop set for Durban

I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR is a South African, national entrepreneurship workshop series hosted by MyStartUp and IgniteSA, and has reached more than 5,500 aspirant and emerging entrepreneurs.

THE Square Boutique Hotel and Spa on Umhlanga Rocks Drive will host I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR DURBAN workshop on Saturday, 2 April. Registration starts at 8am and tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers at R100 each.

I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR is back on the road across South Africa in 2016, and will continue to bridge the gap between reality and aspiration, information and knowledge and the practical skills required to build sustainable enterprises.

The guest entrepreneur in April is Teddy Daka, the group chief executive officer of the Ansys Group.

In 2016 I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR welcomed the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) as a partner to the national series, in addition to the programme’s longstanding partners, MTN Business and Renault South Africa.

“The participation of high profile partners such as the Industrial Development Corporation, MTN Business and Renault South Africa in the 3rd season of the series is testament to the impact and quality of our interventions, and engaging their services, products and experts into the entrepreneurship space is critical to our joint success” said Lynette Ntuli, Founder of IgniteSA.

“We have revised the Mentorship element in 2016 to include a case study based approach to solving entrepreneurial challenges and problems and applying the experience and knowledge set of the mentors. The conversation and issues will be lead by the audience, and the response to the unique challenges facilitated by our resident business mentor, who will stay with us through the year to retain consistency and measure our impact” said Andile Khumalo, Founder of MyStartUpSA.

Tickets are available at Computicket and at Shoprite & Checkers.
